Relief materials are being loaded on truck at Bihar Bhawan, New Delhi  New Delhi: 9th. August: The relief materials donated by different sections of the society, for the help of flood-affected people of Bihar are being dispatched everyday to Patna from Bihar Bhawan. Resident Commissioner, Bihar, C K Mishra has informed tha for the last seven days, everyday 3-4 loaded trucks full of relief materials are being sent to New Delhi railway station, from where it is being sent to Patna District Magistrate through rail routes, who in turn hand it over to Patna Red Cross. It is the Patna Red Cross, which decides to send it to different flood-affected areas as per their requirements.

Relief materials at Bihar Bhawan, New Delhi are being packed before its dispatch.    Mishra further informed that in Bihar Bhawan, we have so far received clothes, medicines, plastic sheets, durries, milk powder, water bottles, tents, different types of food items, 200 water purifiers and scores of other utilities. According to Mishra so far cheques and drafts worth Rs. 3 crores 26 lakhs has been received by them and among those who paid either by cheque or bank draft, the largest amount of Rs. 2 crores 94 lakhs was handed over to him by R S Sharma, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, ONGC as a one day salary of their employees. A draft of Rs. 12 lakhs 33 thousands as an aid, was donated by NBCC employees. Moreover, a contribution of Rs. 10 lakhs was made by religious leader Dalai Lama and Rs. 5 lakhs by Adya Katyayni Shaktipeeth temple, Chattarpur. Besides scores of small but important contributions were made by many other sources. Donations of relief amount and materials are continuing to pour in.

Mishra informed that the relief collection cell at Bihar Bhawan would continue till the time contribution keeps coming.
