Patna, Sep 10 : India's largest private company Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) donated Wednesday Rs.110 million for the relief and rehabilitation of people affected by floods in the east India state of Bihar.

Neeta Ambani, wife of RIL chairman Mukesh Ambani, handed over here Wednesday a cheque to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. She expressed her support and sympathy for hundreds of thousands of people made homeless by the floods.

She said that RIL is eager to help people in the flood affected areas. "RIL is ready to join hands in rehabilitation and reconstruction work," she said.

She promised all possible support to the state government to carry out relief and other projects for affected people.

Neeta Ambani was the first from a big corporate family who personally visited Bihar to show concern for the flood victims.
