New Delhi, Aug 28 : The US Thursday announced an assistance of $100,000 (about Rs.4 million) for over two million people in Bihar who have been displaced by devastating floods.
“US ambassador to India David C. Mulford has announced that the US will contribute $100,000 to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund for assistance to victims of the recent floods in Bihar," the US embassy said in a statement here.
Mulford "offered condolences to the families of those killed in the disaster and his government's willingness to provide further support as needed,” the statement said.

The aid of $100000 from the US is shameful indeed. A handful of individuals living in the US could raise this amount.
This is not the first time US has acted in this manner. They did something similar when tsunami struck three years back.

The language of this report sounds as if US owed something to Bihar and it is not giving it back!!! Instead of being thankful the reports sounds more like a complaint…
Why nobody is complaining about central government or other state governments of India who are not even bothering to do lip service as they do in every other disaster in the country? Govt of India gave so much of money to Nepal in aid and now they are chasing our homeless people away even from a temporary shelter and hindering the embankment repair work!! Sometimes I wonder that do the Foreign and Home ministries exist for Bihar?
The pathetic tongue lashing of Laloo and Paswan is going on untamed. These two pathetic Netas are acting and behaving like Gods who have fix for everything in this world but why they did not do anything in last 2 decades of their reigns?
