Patna, (Bihar Times): The Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar, and his Deputy, Sushil Kumar Modi, had to face the ire of the flood-hit victims of North Bihar as he made an on the spot survey of the region. He ordered the immediate transfer of the Supaul district magistrate, Sharif Alam. He will be replaced by Shrawan Kumar.
Meanwhile, Rameshwar Yadav, the MLA of Singheshwar, was beaten up and locked by an irate mob of flood-victims. He was, however, rescued by the police.
Only on Thursday two BJP MPs and an MLA were literally chased away and brutally assaulted by the irate flood-victims of Susar Dhar near Araria-Supaul border. An executive engineer was also manhandled at Bhimnagar by the angry crowd which demanded food and relief materials.
The BJP MLA, Janardan Yadav, got his hand fractured in the process.
