It
would definitely be a good news for 'yet to born' Nalanda
International University if Dr. Kalam agrees to be 'visitor'
to the university. Given the current situation on the
presidential election, it seems being the president
of India is not at all a matter of pride for any intellectual
or for a person with even a little self esteem. Dr.
Kalam would rather be more effective in terms of using
his management skills and rich knowledge while being
associated with Nalanda International University. We
can expect few years down the line that the university
acquires greater respect in international arena than
the country itself. This may not sound very pleasant
but I am not able to think more positive given the current
political developments on the presidential election
and, I believe, most of the readers would defend me.

It will be a great idea if President Kalam accepts the
position of Visitor of Nalanda International University.
Then only he shall be able to get all his ideas incorporated
in planning and execution stage of the university project.
I have written on the subject extensively. It requires
a real great drive to implement the project to a world
class standard if we wish the university to come up
as one of the best in the world.
