MLA’s unique protest over poor road condition in Bihar

Patna, (BiharTimes): Once again the issue of poor road condition figured in the state assembly, but in somewhat bizarre fashion. Izhar Ahmad, the Lok Janshakti Party MLA from Ghanshyampur in Darbhanga district, tore off his clothes in the state assembly in Zero hour on Monday after failing to get assurance of the state government to repair the roads in his constituency.

He drew the attention of the government and requested the speaker, Uday Narayan Chaudhary, to get the administration’s assurance. Ahmad took this step after the speaker called another MLA to raise the question and told him that the matter would be looked into. Ahmad rushed to the well of the assembly and then tore off his clothes.
