Away from the usual limelight unlike other new age gurus and clad in non saffron dress of common man without any high flying touch , wheather a physical affliction or a social blight, a popular holistic healer in Bihar capital Patna claims he has the cure for it all.

With his uncommon weapon: spiritual healing and alternative therapy he has been successfully cured hundreds of people suffering from chronic diseases He has silently been popularising the spiritual path to health and happiness.

Sixty-eight-year-old holistic healer B P Sahi strongly believes that spiritual healing based on holistic healing added with alternative therapy is an undisputed and universal answer to all the diseases and social ills people facing today all across India and world over. Apart from curing diseases,it can make people more tolerant and thereby minimise social strife. For nearly two decades, a low profile Sahi has tirelessly sought to spread the virtues of spiritual healing with rational and scientific thinking through his Institute of Healing and Alternative Therapy in Patna.

The institute is a brainchild of Sahi working for the cause of well being of human being, Indian society in general and Bihar in particular and world. Unlike mushrooming of several organizations and self-styled ‘ new age guru’ and ‘Baba’ of rich and famous in metro cities, Sahi chosen to serve people in distress without charging anything if compared with them. “We decided to serve the people, mostly poor and people in distress for well being of society and encourage people to practices their way of life without hurting others for communal amity and social harmony” the soft spoken “ holistic guru” Sahi said.

His training of spiritual healing turned numbers of people tolerant and help people to understand others without hurting. This paves the way for unity in diversity, said, ArunLata, one of the healer practioner associated with the institute situated in Sahi’s own house behind famous B N College in Patna.

Dressed in his usual common man clothes, Sahi, the internationally acclaimed spiritual healer and Reiki master with difference, who is one of the advisor of America (US) based International Health Organisation (Alternative Medicine) and founder member of United Kingdom (UK) based The World Foundation for Natural Medicine, said that he had succeeded in integrating western and eastern traditions of spiritual healing which he termed (calls it) holistic healing. While he learnt the eastern tradition from saints, fakirs and yogis in India, the western tradition during his stays in Europe, America and imbibed mainly from Ramakant Keni of Mumbai.Since then he came in contact with many healers from England, America, Germany, Switzerland, Brazil and Manila.

According to Sahi,his method of healing complements all systems of healing and spiritual practice to eliminate diseases, disharmony and limitations. The energy centers in the body are fully activated by complete transformations. In totality, there is a holistic approach to health and this implies an integration of the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level of the human being. “A holistic healer draws from a range of natural healing skills to restore vital energy flow at any level and guide the patient towards practical ways of self –help and reorientations towards self responsibility for a positive and healthy life style” said Sahi, who is former Clinical Psychotherapist of Patna Medical College and Hospital.

Sahi has virtually created a movement of spiritual healers in Bihar and outside through workshops, special training camps and free learning programmes. Till date he had trained hundreds of spiritual healers, Reiki practitioners, holistic healers and alternative therapists.

Sahi, recalled that when he began disseminating the virtues of holistic healing in the early eighties, some people seen it with suspicion and reservation. But slowly his institute gains popularity with people with chronic and incurable diseases gets cured.

Sahi’s institute operates out of Sahi's house in Grand’s Pallavi Court behind B.N. College.He funds all the institute's works including printing and distributing pamphlets or organising seminars, workshops, training camps, mainly out of his own resources and donations by well wishers and nominal charges for healing. It was not easy to sustain this kind of rare institute but he managed it successfully which he credited to his holistic healing.

Now rich and poor, politicians to professionals, judges, doctors, advocates and housewife to students visit him in search of solution to their diseases and problems.

Thanks to his spiritual healing numbers of chain smokers and alcoholic left smoking and drinking. While several people with criminal background changed totally, people in distress, particularly frustrated and depressed businessmen, professionals and students improved their performances by combating stress much more than their expectation.

Sahi’s holistic healing by creating ‘universal life energy’ credited with numbers of miracle like cures in case of 29 year old Varsha Priya who went into deep comma following a cardiac arrest during her operation in which she gave birth to a child five years ago. The medical experts stated that she suffered from hypoxia (loss of oxygen in brain) and only miracle can save her. The miracle happened, she first regained her consciousness and cured through spiritual healing and Reiki.
