Congress launches Parivartan Rath Yatra, rebels summoned to Delhi

Patna,(BiharTimes): Two day after the open display of bitter infighting the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee on Sunday flagged off the Parivartan Rath Yatra, which aims to dislodging the Nitish Kumar government in the state.

The Yatra commenced from the state party headquarters at Sadaquat ashram was flagged off by Congress’ state election officer Girish Kumar Sanghi and BPCC president Anil Kumar Sharma.

The Parivartan Rath, in its first phase, would visit remote villages of Jehanabad, Gaya, Aurangabad, Rohtas, Buxar, Bhojpur and Patna covering 32 assembly constituencies. It is led by Jagdish Tytler, the AICC incharge of Bihar.

Sharma said that the people had reposed faith in the Nitish Kumar government that it would change the face of Bihar, but the chief minister gave a free hand to the bureaucracy to loot the state exchequer in the name of development. When asked that the RJD chief Lalu Yadav’s car has got stuck because of the Yatra he recalled that Lalu Yadav had stopped many such vehicles in the 15 years of his and wife’s rule.

Sharma said Congress would also bring to light a number of scams during the Nitish regime.

Meanwhile, reports from Delhi said that the Congress high command has summoned former MPs Sadhu Yadav, Ranjita Ranjan and the Congress legislature party leader, Ashok Ram. While Ranjita openly spoke against the state party leadership Ram held a meeting of all the ten MLAs in open defiance of the party state chief. The BPCC has also asked Ram, son of former Congress leader, Baleshwar Ram, to explain his conduct.
