Patna, (Bihar Times): Chief minister Nitish Kumar has extend support to Central government's proposal to bring about a legislation, National Food Security Act, to provide food security to all citizens, particularly the BPL families.

In a letter to Union agriculture and consumer affairs minister Sharad Pawar he said that the legislation should comprehensively cover the entire poor population in Bihar. “It is our conviction that any flaw in the proposed Act, leading to unintended exclusion of genuinely poor people, will only result in unnecessary discord and discontent at the ground level,” he said.
